I was on a gun forum where they were talking about this. I basically said exactly what you said. I mentioned that it might just be time to disobey.
The responses were “who’s going to be the first test case?” and “the people who preach disobedience want other people to be the test cases…”
A huge majority of “gun owners” have no qualms about giving up their rights. When push comes to shove, they will abide by what their government tells them to do.

They claim that what they are doing will stand up to scrutiny from the Supreme Court, because they refused to hear a similar case, but doesn’t this also violate the 8th amendment?
